While we were in San Diego, we went to the beach a few days. The water was a chilly 57 degrees, but the wet suits helped. About 10-12 dolphins were swimming and playing around us, nearly running into a few of us. They were catching the waves too! It was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen.

Today was also Tyler’s first day at the beach! Tammy is such a good mom, and Shane is a wonderful dad. And of course, we are the best aunt and uncle! Ha! Check out the picture below. He spent most of the day with his hat pulled down sleeping in the sun. He is such a good baby . . . hardly ever cries!

San Diego has been great these last few days. Tammy and Shane are great parents and little Tyler is a lot fun. Shane and I went surfing this morning, he caught most of the waves but I managed to get a few as well. We were actually surfing with dolphins this morning, it was crazy. 6 or 7 of them were "riding" the waves that we were catching, one time coming within 20 feet of me! It was absolutely crazy as I was paddling out and they were coming towards me, one jumping out of the water really close! It was obvious they were having a great time, and we were too!

During the last week or so, Sara and I, with the big help of Shane Shepherd, changed the look of our kitchen! Below are two pics of the new look. We sanded, primed, and painted the cabinets, tore off the old backsplash and tiled it, installed additional lighting, and switched microwaves from the "counter" version to the "over the oven" version.
This is a closer look at the tile job. Shep did great work.

Kansas City Weekend Getaway

Our friends, Ryan, Tami, and little Ella Clark, took a quick trip to K.C. to visit another friend, Jen, this weekend. Jen has two big dogs . . . Rots to be exact . . . but they are good dogs. Below are some pics of the trip.

Here is a picture of Sara and I, with some friends, with Ben Lee. If you don't know who he is, you should download his latest album, "Awake Is The New Asleep." He is from Australia, and is quite small.

He sings the Dell Computer song . . . you would recognize it.

That's all . . . adios!

Well, it's only been a few weeks since I posted last. Nothing much has changed here in Omaha. My folks got back from their vacation, or retirement trip, to Florida to see some friends for a while. They loved it, and had to come back to zero degree temperatures.

The business is progressing, sales have increased each month. It's really exciting, yet nerve racking. Here is a pic of part of our product storage. It really doesn't take up that much room . . . www.semplicebeauty.com

What a plug . . . take care and I'll post later . . .

It's been quite a while since we've posted last . . . and I don't think anyone will really read this anyway, so I don't really know why I'm even updating this. But, in case you are reading . . . could you post a response so I know that someone is reading this? Thanks.

Our fall duck hunt in Cozad with my cousin, Chad, my brother-in-law, Andy, and his friends, Jason and Chuck, from Denver. The weather was too warm and the birds weren't flying . . . only got two ducks! Better luck next time.

My brother, Shane, and his wife, Tammy, came back for Thanksgiving. They are expecting their first child, Tyler James, in February-March time so that was/is exciting to talk about. Here we are at the Colordado football game.

This is our winter duck/goose hunt in Cozad. The duck slayers pictured are Ryan Clark, a friend from Lincoln, my dad and I. We got a dozen ducks before the winter storm swept through, but we had to call it quits a day early. Stay tuned for pictures from the January goose hunt. Sara is annoyed by all of this. :)

We spent some time with Sara's brother and wife, Andy and Libby, and their newborn baby boy, Cooper Paul Atchison. Cooper was born on Dec. 14th, so he was a real holiday blessing. Andy and Libby will be moving this month to Louiseville, Kentucky due to Andy's job promotion with Jackson National.

Come back . . . and remember to post a comment so I know this is worth the small effort!
Thanks, Skip
